Nine Patch
A quilt top ten squares by ten, and three patches at a time to lay on it. Fill a row or a column clear across and it is stitched down and out of your way. There is no clock on this one.
- Lay all three patches before three more come. Tap a patch, then tap the square you want its top-left corner on — or drag it over.
- A patch goes down whole, on empty squares, and it cannot be turned. That is the whole game right there.
- Fill a row or a column all ten across and it is stitched down and clears. Finish more than one at once and it is worth a good deal more.
- Keep laying one after another with a line each time and the run pays extra.
- It is over when not one of the three you are holding will go anywhere. So keep a hole open for the nine patch — the three by three is what ends most quilts.
- Every quilt has a number, so you can hand a friend the very same patches.
- On a keyboard: 1, 2, 3 pick a patch, the arrows move, and Enter lays it down.
