Back Forty Skeet

Twenty-five clay birds off the back forty. One comes out of the high house on your left, one out of the low house on your right, and they are gone in about two seconds. Shoot where she is going, not where she is.

  • Click or tapTap the spot you want the pattern to land. The shot takes a beat to get out there, so aim ahead of the bird — that lead is the whole game.
  • The further out she is, the longer the shot takes, so the edges of the field want more lead than the middle.
  • One shell per bird. A pair gets two. Miss and she sails on — there is no second barrel.
  • Twenty-five birds to a round: fifteen singles, then five pairs. Break all twenty-five and you have shot a straight 25.
  • Center the pattern on her and she goes to dust for a bonus; catch her on the edge and she still breaks.
