What Is Success?
Have you ever stopped to wonder how success is truly defined?
It looks drastically different depending on the perspective: your own, the world’s, and God’s. At best, you can expect an alignment of two out of the three, because the world consistently leaves God out of the equation. When searching for articles on why money doesn’t equal success, you’ll find plenty of advice about minimalism, frugality, and helping others. While well-intentioned, God is noticeably absent from almost all of them.
When these thoughts cross my mind in the quiet of the morning, the conclusion becomes clear: the endless stream of worldly definitions is often just a distraction designed to keep us from pursuing what truly counts in God’s eyes or including Him in our daily life.
